Terrified Selena Gomez appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and got an unwelcome surprise from Leatherface of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre fame
Selena Gomez isn't exactly known for her wild sound bites.
So during her latest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host coaxed drama out of her.
The cheeky talk show queen arranged for two men to creep up on self-confessed horror fan Gomez, leaving the 20-year-old shrieking and curling up in a quivering wreck in front of a live audience.
Enough! Selena jokes: 'I'm never coming back'
During the chat, Selena began rather coyly talking about her romance with global superstar Justin Bieber, explaining that they like to go to amusement parks in their spare time.
When host Ellen tried to probe 'How’s Justin?', Selena just replied: 'He’s good.'
Ellen pushed again, asking 'How is he doing?', and was greeted with, 'He is doing really, really, well.'
Opening up a fraction, Selena continued: 'We go to Disneyland a lot, he likes it, but we go to Knott’s Scary Farm [seasonal event at Knott's Berry Farm, California] because that’s my favourite.
It all started so civilised... Selena told Ellen about Justin's tour bus being 'full of boys' and 'blaring music'
'I'm the kind of person that likes to get scared - but I'm covering my eyes and ears the entire time.'
But things soon livened up when Ellen played a trick on her guest, when a guy - most likely the work experience kid - emerged in a Leatherface costume from Texas Chainsaw Massacre to scare Selena.
After the pretty brunette recovers from their intermission, Ellen continues to quiz Selena about Justin, commenting on his recent departure for his latest tour.
Selena explains: 'I am going to try [visit him on tour]. I’m going to make sure I go to a couple of shows but I’ve just been recording... '
Say cheese: Selena looked in high spirits as she headed to Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday
She also told Ellen that Justin takes to the road on a bus, and while she likes to be rocked to sleep while she's touring, her boyfriend's transportation is full of 'too much boys' and 'blaring music'.
The Wizards of Waverly Place actress also touched on new movie Hotel Transylvania, saying she 'fell in love' with co-star Andy Samberg.
In the film, she loans her vocals to Mavis, the 118-year-old daughter of Dracula [voiced by Adam Sandler], who falls in love with human Jonathan [Samberg].
Before signing off their chat, cruel Ellen scared Selena again with another early Halloween character, this time Dracula, sneaking up behind her, before Gomez jokes: 'Enough! I'm never coming back.'
