When he burst onto the scene he was noted for his impossibly sweet demeanour.
But Justin Bieber has been trying hard to turn into something of a bad boy recently, and his evolution continued on Thursday.
For he was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a T-shirt that read 'I love drop dead.'
Ironically, his outfit also featured a pink love heart as he indulged in a rather less than edgy pastime - trampolining.
He was sported chatting on his phone as he left Sky High Sports in the posh Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills.

Meeting her beau Justin at the park, Selena soon turned up in her own version of the wanna-be edgy love-heart theme.
The 20-year-old actress arrived wearing leather pants and a designer-ripped shirts covered in red love hearts.
She wore dark shades over her eyes and carried a black leather tote back as she got out of her Audi.

The actress smiled as she strutted through the car lot. And she has plenty to smile about, with the huge box-office success of her latest movie Hotel Transylvania.
Justin, meanwhile, tried to look tough by grimacing and holding his mobile away from his ear, but his act was undone by his ensemble, which also included an oversized beanie hat and pink and yellow trainers.
