He missed Suri's first day at school earlier this month, and has only been spotted with his daughter on a handful of occasions since splitting from ex-wife Katie Holmes in June.
But it has now been claimed Tom Cruise is being given 'special treatment' from the strict heads of Scientology to allow him occasional contact with his beloved daughter, in spite of her now having left the controversial church.
Nancy Many, former Scientologist and ex-president of the Celebrity Centre, told RadarOnline.com: 'They have already bent the rules for Tom.
'If Tom was any other Scientologist, including lesser celebrities, he would not be allowed to continue seeing and maintaining communication with Katie or Suri, because they are no longer in Scientology.'
However, the move is said to have angered fellow Scientologists, who believe it is one rule for the 50-year-old actor and another for everyone else.

She went on to explain that former members of the Church are 'instantly shunned' when they leave the Scientology faith, and with Katie having rejoined the Catholic faith immediately after her split from Tom, she and Suri would fall into that category.
Katie filed for divorce from Tom in June after five and a half years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the shock split.
Tom now hasn't seen Suri in over seven weeks since the pair holidayed together in Disney World on August 5.
But a friend of the Hollywood megastar recently insisted that the devout Scientologist loves his daughter no matter what religion she is raised by – and is simply busy with other commitments.
